Yay Finals!

By yay I mean finals indicate the end of the quarter and a small vacation.  I’m so ready for it because I’m sick of writing so many papers!  Anyway I’m so happy!  I was given a tablet as an early christmas present.  It’s the Intuos 6x8.  I’m SO in love with it.  It’s painting so brilliantly.  Soon I’ll post the drawing that I’m painting right now on Deviant Art.  I’m seriously ready to make out with this piece of hardware :X!  Today Jessica, Leah, and I put our christmas tree up.  Mom was at the office again and probably will be there really late so we decided to surprise her with it.  I need to clean my room because it’s a gigantic mess.  There are papers and books about Marie Antoinette everywhere… I have to do one last research paper that’s due the day of my english final and I’ve been just throwing my references all over the place while I’m working. 

Today’s Mood:  Ecstatic!

  1. This may be a dumb question, since I might have missed your answer to it in one of the other blog-entries and could thus easily look it up there, but:

    What are you studying, anyway? History? And if so, why? What are you planning to do with your new knowledge?

    I studied english and american language, history and literature, specializing in american history and literature, as well as german language and literature for almost 7 years in Frankfurt, Germany. Since I’m an author myself that seemed to fit.

    Now I want to start a career as a private teacher for German, English, Math, Computer Programming and Creative Writing.

    How much of the knowledge I’ve learned at university I will need ever again, I don’t know yet. Some of it really helped me go get a grip on the essentials of language itself and how to work with it properly - whether it is spoken or written.

    Of some other stuff I’m sure I’m never ever going to use it again. But that’s life and it’s quite okay that way. Like I always say: If you know more than you need, you don’t have a problem - but if you know less, you’re screwed.

    So if you ever need some resources about Thoreau, Winthrop, Chomsky, Pinker - feel free to ask wink

  4. I am happy it’s final time also! Just finished my English assignments, 6 essays in 1 week = wtf! Math is done owned it with a 3.9 GPA and just got dreaded logic final next week on Tuesday fearing for my life! Well have fun with the tablet there really fun to use.

  9. A tablet just simulates drawing with paper and pen so you don’t have to use a mouse.

    It’s great to hear from you and that things are finally settled, since the past few months.  Yay Christmas tree ... lol, gotta love symbols of the holidays and of course ... holiday vacations, woot!

    P.S. - I also love the fact you have your webcam to “mirror horizontal image” as most of the posters in the background are reversed… I empathize because when using my own, I hate moving my head left and it going right on the screen ... mirror image ftw!
